Nordic diet means food eaten in Nordic countries, including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. This diet includes locally available food items and drinks. If compared to any other diets, the Nordic diet has less sugar and less fat, but double the fibre and seafood. With all these ingredients, this diet is said to be one of the healthiest diets for its several health benefits. Nordic diet is also known as an eco-friendly diet. This diet consists of whole grains such as rye, barley and oats and berries and other fruits. Vegetables included in this diet are especially cabbage and root vegetables such as potatoes and carrots. Berries are an excellent source of chemical anthocyanin from the tree. They lower blood pressure and make blood vessels more flexible, where berries make an essential part of the diet.
